Team Gratitude
Matt Jackson expressed appreciation for the daily environment of discussing business, mindset, and sales with the team.
Christian shared his gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Rod and Mac, noting that the role demands personal growth through reading and fitness.
Rod honored McKinley for maintaining consistency on social media during difficult business months and praised the team's commitment to 8:00 a.m. skill-sharpening sessions.
Bert shared his success in completing a marathon, drawing parallels between physical endurance and entrepreneurial determination.
Vision Strategy
Defining Purpose Wilbur discussed the distinction between goals, which are tasks to be checked off, and vision, which provides the "why" behind the work. He emphasized that in a 1099 commission-based role, agents must look past immediate sales and bills to see their long-term trajectory.
Agency Objectives Wilbur outlined a collective goal for the Wilbersmith Agency to reach the 130 track within the next year. He noted that reaching higher leadership levels is mandatory for him to better coach the team and avoid common pitfalls. The objective is to move agents toward becoming agency owners within 12 months, as the fastest path from start to finish is approximately seven months.
Leadership Growth The team discussed various three-year visions:
Christian envisions the agency being a top choice for young people seeking character development and financial stability.
Mac aims for the agency to be a proven system that transforms individuals through commitment.
Bert wants to focus on building actual business owners rather than just entrepreneurs.
Rod intends to develop 10 agency directors and help 30 people achieve a net income of $20,000 per month while maintaining personal well-being.
Implementation Framework
Goal Setting Rod provided a framework for translating vision into reality:
Marry the vision (personal and business).
Commit to SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely).
Date the strategy (be willing to change tactics if they are not working).
Operational Support Wilbur highlighted the importance of backend systems and administrative support, specifically mentioning April's role as an executive admin who will help scale agency owners by managing backend processes.
How can team members effectively communicate their personal and business visions via Slack or directly to leadership?
