Meeting:
The Wilbur Smith Agency held a team meeting to discuss agency updates, training resources, and upcoming professional development opportunities.
Team Updates
Wilbur provided several updates regarding the growth and structure of the agency.
Anisa and Malia were welcomed as new members, and Aaliyah is scheduled to take her licensing test next week.
Wilbur emphasized that the first 90 days for new agents are focused on the learning curve rather than full business operations.
Lorenzo was recognized for passing his recent test.
Training Resources
The leadership team detailed various calls and sessions designed to facilitate agent growth and accountability.
Accountability Call: A daily morning session featuring 15 minutes of training followed by breakout rooms where agents track metrics like dials, contacts, and appointments using spreadsheets. Rod emphasized that this call is high-challenge and intended for those willing to be coached.
Office Hours: Wilbur announced new office hours in the Mac Room on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to provide real-time coaching, live appointment running, and technical support.
Specialized Calls: The team discussed the Top Producer Call, Be a Better Builder, and the Schnitzer Master Call as essential tools for leadership and high-level skill development.
Growth Opportunities
The meeting concluded with information regarding upcoming industry events and leadership milestones.
Ignite Event: This two-day event will take place in Dallas in March. Wilbur noted that team members can access discounted tickets for $140 through him or Rod.
Springling: An invite-only leadership event in April for those who hit key leader metrics, such as issuing $20,000 of business with three writers.
Technical Advice: In response to Anisa's question about presentations, Mackenley recommended using Google Meet over Zoom for new agents to build trust through face-to-face interaction while maintaining ease of use for reading scripts.
